Art & exhibitions

Working under the name Kado, Kevin creates large, colourful and emotive pieces. His work has appeared on record, CD and book covers, and in art and interactive exhibitions under the Native presents label. He has exhibited in Doncaster, Sheffield, Scarborough, Wakefield, London, Luxembourg and Dubai, including a six-month exhibition at Scarborough Spa. The name Kado originated during his time as a senior lecturer,

'The College issued a directory of all personnel, with the usual acronyms. We couldn’t find him in it. When we did, his name was under the wrong initials, and so he became known as Kado ~ pronounced in the manner of the character in the Clouseau movies ~ ‘Kato.’

Writing & storytelling

Kevin discovered he was dyslexic in his twenties. Despite struggling with reading as a child, he loved stories, reading books and comics by torchlight while listening to Radio Caroline. Self-doubt delayed publication for many years, but he went on to become a number-one bestselling Amazon author. His books include Mortal Critters, with print editions and audiobooks available through bookshops and download retailers.
